Winner: Parking Lot

Midwest Carriers

After 5 years of discussions and many rounds of budget pricing between asphalt and concrete, the owners at Midwest Carriers decided concrete pavement was the better solution for their long-term business plan.

The project schedule required concrete paving to coincide with the building construction.  This made site logistics a key item of discussion and coordination between project team members.

Just shy of 400,000 square feet of concrete pavement was placed.

The construction of the parking lot took approximately 3 weeks’ time. This was while the construction of the building stayed on schedule.

The parking lot consists of over 8,400 cubic yards of 7-inch fiber-reinforced concrete pavement.  It was completed in June 2024.
