At 16,600 cubic yards of ready-mix concrete, the project consisted of insulated tilt-up concrete panels, extended joint floor slabs, and exterior concrete pavement instead of asphalt.
The tilt-up scope of this project had over 77,000 square feet of site-cast tilt-up concrete construction. The entire perimeter of the building and interior dividing walls consisted of tilt-up construction, totaling 150 panels on the project.
There were 51,000 square feet of site-casting slabs. The tilt-up panels were designed to carry structural load on the perimeter of the building. The exterior width of the panels included fiber reinforcement.
The building floor slab utilized high dosages of fiber reinforcement and an optimized mix design to extend the control joint spacing to 50 feet on center. The slab consisted of 9”, 8”, and 6” thick sections, including 7.5 pounds of fiber reinforcement.
The exterior concrete pavement included over 100,000 square feet of 7-inch concrete with 3 pounds of fiber reinforcement. Several admixtures were utilized to accommodate weather conditions. The project was completed in May 2024.
