Classic Protective Coatings

Atlas Specialty Contracting was hired to install a 15,000 SF warehouse facility in late 2023. The owner was impressed with the speed and efficiency of the laser-guided grading and screeding equipment.

The parking lot was converted from minimal concrete aprons and gravel to
30,200 SF of 6-inch concrete paving and 440 Lineal feet of 18-inch curb and gutter. Excluding the foundation and floor, over 600 cy of 4500-psi concrete was used.

The owner, a steel contractor, insisted on steel-reinforced paving. Over 12 tons of reinforced steel was placed and chaired to the proper elevation. The laser-guided screed and some hand screeding were utilized to accommodate complex and minimal-grade pitches around the building areas.

Great care was taken to prevent any concrete splatter while pouring next to the customer’s brand-new facility.

The schedule and timing of the pours were crucial to the customer’s ability to access the building. Because of the overall seamless execution and quality of the concrete paving, the customer intends to convert the balance of the gravel areas to concrete paving soon.
